\n \nThis is a full-time remote field service position requiring approximately 80% travel throughout the United States. The successful candidate will install, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and commission large CNC machine tools while providing exceptional technical support to customers. This role places a strong emphasis on electrical troubleshooting, CNC controls, and machine diagnostics, while also requiring proficiency with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
\n \nResponsibilities
\n- Diagnose and troubleshooting CNC controls, servo drives, PLCs, motors, encoders, safety circuits, I/O systems, and industrial communication networks.
\n- Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to isolate and repair machine faults.
\n- Install, commission, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machine tools.
\n- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
\n- Perform preventive maintenance, machine inspections, alignments, and calibration procedures.
\n- Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical documentation.
\n- Document service activities and communicate repair recommendations and status updates to customers and internal staff.
\n- Deliver professional customer service while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
\n- Travel approximately 80% throughout the United States, with occasional international travel for factory training and technical support.
\n \nQualifications
\nRequired
\n- Minimum 3 years of CNC machine tool maintenance or field service experience.
\n- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose CNC controls, PLCs, servo drives, motors, encoders, industrial electrical systems, and communication networks.
\n- Experience with Siemens CNC controls preferred; experience with Fanuc, Heidenhain, Mitsubishi, or similar CNC controls is also desirable.
\n- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
\n- Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
\n- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
\n- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
\n- Valid driver's license.
\n- Valid passport or the ability to obtain one.
\n- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent technical experience.
\nPreferred
\n- Experience servicing large CNC machining centers.
\n- Knowledge of machine geometry, calibration, and laser alignment.
\n- PLC programming or advanced diagnostic experience.
\n- Spanish language proficiency is a plus but not required.
